This photograph is of Joseph and Sarah’s three sons, taken just before they emigrated: - Charley aged 8 ½ years, Sam aged 7, and Harry aged 4 ½ A fourth son, Joseph Huia Palmerston (JHP) was born in New Zealand in 1894 They also had three daughters and their ages when they emigrated were : - Katie 13 years, Edie 1 year 4 months, Maggie (Baby) 3 months
